This Nonprofit Series course is taught by Emily Caldwell, a BoardSource-certified Nonprofit Board Consultant.

By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to be effective board member. Participants will learn about BoardSource's five governance units: basic roles and responsibilities, the board building cycle, the board-executive relationship, the board's role in fundraising, and how to structure a high-performance board. The course also includes discussions about board assessments, purpose-driven board leadership, and questions to ask before joining a board of directors. 

This event is in collaboration with SHARE Greater Lynchburg.
